The Right Swipe

Ian and Zefa met through a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. Ian was intrigued by Zefa’s playful bio. They eventually agreed to meet for the first time at Kira Kira Ginza, Blok M, where Ian regrettably came late (oops!). The date went okay-ish, and despite their initial doubts, they agreed to have a second date.

The Warming Up

To ensure they always have time for each other amidst their busy schedule, Ian set a recurring weekly event on Google Calendar for him and Zefa to meet at least once a week — a gesture Zefa found cute. They ran, shared meals and drinks, went to galleries, and met each other’s friends. Gradually, love found its way between them.

The First Year

Zefa was so happy when Ian asked her to be his girlfriend. Despite liking each other, however, the first year was anything but smooth. It was a year of realizing just how different their backgrounds were. A year of learning, growing, and facing challenges together. A year that brought them closer, one hurdle at a time.

The Everyday Magic

These were the years when their love and commitment grew deeper. Through ups and downs, they supported each other — in their careers, in sickness and health, and more. In 2022, Ian and Zefa decided to adopt their first chonky tabby cat, Shade. Less than a year later, they welcomed Kiki as Shade’s sassy companion.

Together, the four of them shared countless moments and created lasting memories.

The Endless Beginning

Growing more certain about their commitment, Ian asked to meet Zefa’s parents, and she agreed. With that, they decided to start preparing for marriage. And now, here they are, ready for their next chapter.
